Born on 22nd March 1899 in Newmarket (Newmarket Q2-1899 3B:528), daughter of George William and Anna Maria KERRY (née PARKER).
1901 census...Aged 2, she was at Rous Road, Newmarket with her father George W KERRY [48] veterinary surgeon born Newmarket; her mother Anna M [40] born Ely; sisters Mabel [17], Ethel M [10] and Hilda [5] all born in Newmarket; brother Cecil [3] born Bury St Edmunds. 1911 census...Aged 12, she was at Berners House, St.Mary's Square, Newmarket with her parents; sisters Mabel (boot shop assistant), Ethel May (dress maker's assistant, Hilda (draper's assistant), Anna [9] and Nora [8]; brother Cecil. Her mother had lost 5 of her 12 children. Her father died in Newmarket in 1929, and her mother in 1931. In the 1939 register, Queenie, a post office worker, was at "Stanfield", Snailwell Road with her sisters Mabel (incapacitated) and Anna. Sister Hilda was a nurse at the Rous Memorial Hospital. Sisters Ethel (ironmonger's clerk) and Nora (local government clerk) were at Rylestne Cottage, All Saints Road.
